Digital Mania

Remember when you were a kid and you had to color by hand in a coloring book?  Well, not anymore!  This website is set up for girls (not sure why they decided to gender it) but it is actually kind of fun to mess around with color to see what all looks good together.  You can also reset the image and change everything all over again.  Just an interesting way of using what we learned about color in practice.  http://www.girlsgogames.com/game/roiworld-painting.html  Jigsaw puzzles online are also popular, and we are seeing more and more games being put into an online format.  I think it is the convience of being able to do a puzzle anywhere without worrying about the mess that makes it a popular medium.http://thejigsawpuzzles.com/

  1. I am officially having WAY too much fun with this coloring cite! It's like an instant-gratification no concequences coloring book. You don't have to rely on the motor skills you happen to be blessed with (or cursed with) and you can change your mind and instantly change the color. Thanks.

  2. I must agree. This game is pretty addicting though I prefer to color by hand, given I am not the best artist (nor will attempt to be) but I like the feel of having something a coloring book. I guess this will go back to that discussion we had on class about online magazines and print magazines (the idea being print gave us a sense of property).

  3. I agree, coloring is fun. But i think i would still rather go back to the old coloring book, regardless of my lack of artistic skills.
